
Sheriffs from across Florida gathered in Indian River County to tackle some cold cases. The Florida Sheriffs Association’s Cold Case Commission is using a combination of humans, AI and DNA evidence to see if they can solve some homicides from the past.

This is not quite Indian River County, but close enough that it’s noteworthy. A Melbourne man has been arrested for starting the fire in Los Angeles that destroyed the Pacific Palisades. Despite nonstop news coverage at the time placing blame on climate change, it turns out this “climate change” was actually a disturbed Uber driver with some local ties who lit a fire.

The Indian River County commissioners are considering the idea of forcing everyone to get onto the city sewer system wherever it’s available. However, there are some concerns about the water processing capacity limits within the current system.
