A pay to park system is being discussed as a solution to the parking woes at Vero Beach airport. The part that is interesting to me is the proposed price tag of $2.3 million to create the system. I feel like we could hire some competent people to find a solution that costs less than that, but what could I possibly know? I only ran profitable businesses for 20 years before getting into the wild world of a local news, so I’m not qualified to have an opinion on this one. 🙄

A man was arrested on reckless driving and related charges after fleeing from police in a vehicle that had stolen tags. The incident occurred near the 4100 block of U.S. 1.
Some local residents are fuming about the plans to store stinky dredged up muck from Indian River right next to their homes. (Get it? FUMING?) The concerns of the smells are valid, along with ancillary concerns about things like flies and mosquitoes who will be drawn to the muck.
