A Sebastian man who previously said he’d get in a shootout with police before he’d let himself get arrested again, has been arrested again. It took some tear gas and breaching the door to his house, but they got him.

A murder investigation is underway after a body was found in the Taylor Creek Spillway. The man’s body was recovered just of Highway 1.

Indian River County will be reducing their road maintenance costs by transferring responsibility of some county roads to FDOT.

Governor DeSantis was having a little fun on X yesterday. With NYC electing its first Muslim mayor who is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. After years of financial struggles, Ruby Tuesday in Vero Beach is closing its doors. Times are tough for many restaurants these days and this is the latest local casualty.

More than a few local restaurants are offering discounted or free meals to veterans on Veterans Day next week. This is always a nice thing to see.
