A dirt bike robbery at gunpoint on Saturday evening ended in police action a day later. Two individuals, ages 18 and 12, were riding their dirt bikes near 23rd Ave SW & 15th St SW in Vero Beach when two masked robbers jumped out of the bushes with guns drawn. The robbers threatened to kill them if they didn’t give up their dirt bikes, so the dirt bikes were handed over.

The dirt bike owners followed the tracks of the stolen bikes to a house near 11th Terrace SW & 12th St SW. Last night, there were reports of law enforcement surrounding a house in that vicinity with guns drawn in an apparent standoff.
